Virtual network operator IPsX has bolstered its managed services capabilities through a new partnership with NetStar Group, a provider of IP network solutions for the corporate market.

Under the deal, NetStar will provide network management solutions for current and future IPsX customers, simplifying the way those companies deploy and manage services and ensuring their network is performing properly. Aside from the IPsX partnership, claims to manage the network requirements of over 300 organisations spread across 41 countries from its Sydney network operations centre. The IPsX deal spans network operations in Australia, New Zealand and the US.

According to IPsX Managing Director Ed Allen, “NetStar takes ownership of our clients’ network management, acting as our eyes and ears. As a result, IPsX customers stand to benefit from full network transparency, proactive network management and 24/7 ‘Net Support’ services.” Initially NetStar is providing management solutions for 36 IPsX customers across 160 sites, including 30 sites for Australian agribusiness Timbercorp.

NetStar Australia Managing Director Chris Meager said his company provided network clients with piece of mind that their network was being watched for problems. “We can manage the network on their behalf around the clock or, if they just want fault response support, they know they can call anytime and talk directly with a highly skilled engineer,” Meager said.
