NetStar provides IP to accountants

23 September 2005

Rust Report

Australian accounting firm Pitcher Partners has turned to NetStar Australia to deploy a converged Cisco IP telephony system to service 400 staff in its Melbourne office. The system is complemented by a Cisco Aironet wireless solution that allows support staff to stay in touch anywhere on the firm’s four floors.

Pitcher Partners is now considering the delivery of XML applications to the screenphones used by staff. “Pitcher Partners will look at pushing information out to staff, including messaging and Internet feeds. There is also the possibility of integrating functions such as control of security or audio visual systems via the screenphone interface,” explained NetStar’s Alex Hill.
