Certification will help customers transition to private cloud
with integrated IT infrastructures from Cisco, EMC and VMware
NetstarLogicalis today announced it is the first Australian company to be certified under the Vblock partner ecosystem, a community of partners that are qualified to augment, resell and deliver Vblock™ Infrastructure Packages.
Vblock Infrastructure Packages are an element of the recently announced Virtual Computing Environment (VCE) coalition formed by Cisco, EMC and VMware. As an accredited partner, NetstarLogicalis can help customers accelerate their plans to implement a private cloud infrastructure based on industry-leading technology and take advantage of the critical IT efficiencies this provides.
Vblock Infrastructure Packages are integrated, tested and validated data centre infrastructure offerings that combine best-of-breed virtualization software from VMware, unified networking, security and computing from Cisco; and storage, security and management technologies from EMC – all with end-to-end vendor accountability. Vblock Infrastructure Packages support a broad range of operating systems and applications that enable customers to rapidly migrate existing applications to Vblock infrastructure to accelerate broad-scale data centre virtualization.
Oliver Descoeudres, Marketing Director of NetstarLogicalis, said, “We are proud to be the first Australian company to become a Vblock accredited partner. This accreditation means we can work more closely with customers in helping them gain the best value from their private cloud environments.
“To date, NetstarLogicalis has implemented data centre solutions based on the VMware, Cisco and EMC (VCE) architecture for a number of key customers. Most recently, NetstarLogicalis designed and implemented a two-phase data centre refresh for the GPT Group using VCE technology to provide a virtualized data centre solution. We look forward to further extending our VCE certifications and helping more customers implement effective, efficient data centre virtualization.
Darren McCullum, EMC's lead for the Virtual Compute Environment (VCE) coalition said, "NetstarLogicalis is a key EMC partner and we are pleased to welcome them on board as the first certified Vblock partner in Australia. This reflects NetstarLogicalis’ commitment to the VCE coalition and to providing customers with best of breed, cost-effective, solutions that pave the way for datacenter virtualisation. The technology solutions from the VCE coalition, combined with the expertise of NetstarLogicalis, will provide our customers with the confidence they need to navigate the journey to the Private Cloud."
Dylan Morison, Data Centre Practice Lead for Cisco Australia and New Zealand said, “Our partners are key to the successful delivery of Vblock Infrastructure Packages that help customers improve application performance, reclaim IT budget and resources and unleash breakthrough business results. We are pleased that NetstarLogicalis has become Australia’s first partner to be qualified to resell and implement Vblock.”
Paul Harapin, Managing Director of VMware Australia and New Zealand said, “The investment NetstarLogicalis has made in data centre technology reinforces its commitment to the VCE, and as the first VBlock accredited partner in Australia it demonstrates their suitability as a partner to bring these solutions to the market locally. VMware values our partners as an integral part in delivering private cloud to Australian businesses.”
NetstarLogicalis qualifies for the Vblock partner ecosystem through its investment in technical certifications and partner designations for all of the Cisco, EMC and VMware products that make up the Vblock Infrastructure Packages.
The Vblock partner certification complements NetstarLogicalis’ other Cisco certifications including Cisco Gold Partner, Cisco White Label Producer, Cisco "Master" MSCP certification and one of the first three integrators in Australia to gain the Cisco UCS accreditation.
The Vblock Infrastructure Packages were developed by the Virtual Computing Environment coalition, which was formed jointly by Cisco and EMC, together with VMware. The coalition represents an unprecedented level of collaboration across development, services and partner enablement that helps minimize the risks in the infrastructure virtualization journey of customers to private cloud implementation.
