Vulnerability Assessment Service - Features
The NetStar Vulnerability Assessment Service is powered by technology from Beyond Security and SecuriTeam.com, the world’s leading source for IT security news.
The service utilises an appliance capable of scanning a Class C network in around 12 minutes for over 4,500 vulnerabilities, which are updated on an hourly basis.
Features of the service include:
- lowest rate of "false positives" versus competitive products (< 0.01%)
- variable scanning rate to ensure a completely non-intrusive scan
- scans a broad range of IP network devices (see below)
We recommend an appliance is placed with the customer's network, which may scan all IP addresses or a selected range, such as all servers and security devices. NetStar is able to perform a remote scan of perimeter devices.
